Second Sunday after Pentecost, Lect. 10 B

“A house divided against itself cannot stand.” Jesus makes this observation in light of charges that he is possessed. He is possessed, not by a demon, but by the Holy Spirit. We who have received the Holy Spirit are joined to Christ’s death and resurrection and knit together in the body of Christ.

The Vigil of Pentecost

A Vespers liturgy for the evening before Pentecost.
 
Included in the liturgy is a rite of anointing, remembering that you are the dwelling place of the Spirit of God. Have a small dish of olive oil ready so you can anoint yourself, or another who may be with you. The words will be in the video.
